This programme is meant to produce teachers of ICT and entrepreneurship teachers that have the necessary Information and Communications Technology Knowledge and skills and to enable trainee teachers acquire and develop knowledge, skills and values in entrepreneurship which will increase their productivity prospects in society and also teachers who will transmit it to young learners using a variety of approaches and strategies.
These will be professional expertise to prepare students to meet the ever-growing ICT needs of the country (Zambia). It is hoped also that through their creativity, the trainee teachers would begin to initiate development of entrepreneurial attitudes and skills in their learners through plays, game and songs.
The range of occupational pathways in ICT continues to expand as technology penetrates more and more aspects of daily life. Common areas of work for ICT graduates include: software engineering and programming; systems analysis and administration; general ICT management; multimedia development; and ICT support.
